Well thanks to this book that we can all relate to we can see that all our highs and all those lows are normal。 This funny book on the realities of parenting is brutally honest and so so needed。

Thank you NetGalley and Gwenna Laithland for the opportunity to listen to this book。 I follow her on tiktok and was excited when I saw the audiobook was available to listen to。 Gwenna is down to earth and gives usable and relatable advice/ideas in her book。 The fact that the author narrates the book makes it that much better。 I really enjoyed this book and will be recommending it to all my friends who are parents。

Full of real life situations and "wow that sounds like my kid" examples, I found Gwenna so relatable。 I cuss, I yell, I hate mommy vlogs, blogs or groups。 Gwenna tho。 She I get。 This book was funny! I've been a big Gwenna fan for a long time。 We're roughly the same age。 And I value her opinion。 Deconstructing how we were raised and being more intentional with our parenting is a huge step。 This book is both funny and helpful! It doesn't talk down to you or make you feel dumb, but it is really realistic and honest。I received the Audio ARC from Netgalley。 These opinions are my own。 I've been a big Gwenna fan for a long time。 We're roughly the same age。 And I value her opinion。 Deconstructing how we were raised and being more intentional with our parenting is a huge step。 This book is both funny and helpful! Momma Cusses, written by Gwenna Laithland, is a guidebook to responsive parenting。 I feel like I need to preface this review by stating that I am not the target audience for this book (I am not a parent,) but I have really enjoyed learning from Gwenna’s TikToks, and I do work in a preschool setting, so I felt like I could still learn from this book! I haven't seen Gwenna on TikTok, so I didn't know what to expect with this one。 Gwenna proved to be hilarious and informative。 I think this book would be great for first time parents, especially going into the toddler phase。 Her list on nicknames for the kids are so spot on - Microscopic Swim Meet Champion, Evicted Parasite 😂 😂 She does provide valuable insight for parenting - like give your child the time that it is needed to complete a milestone, instead of the time it is expected, but with a I haven't seen Gwenna on TikTok, so I didn't know what to expect with this one。 Gwenna proved to be hilarious and informative。 I think this book would be great for first time parents, especially going into the toddler phase。 Her list on nicknames for the kids are so spot on - Microscopic Swim Meet Champion, Evicted Parasite 😂 😂 She does provide valuable insight for parenting - like give your child the time that it is needed to complete a milestone, instead of the time it is expected, but with a relaxed and funny vibe。 。。。more

I’m a huge fan of the Momma Cusses tiktok and was excited to read this。 Other than wishing she didn’t shy away from the gentle parenting title, if only to more widely educate about the realities of the style, I love this book。 A huge part of parenting is managing your own feelings and actions and she hits on that perfectly。And it’s also just dang funny。 (Arc received from NetGalley)

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!This was AWESOME! But maybe this can spark your own ideas?" a lot - no two people or families are the same。I also love how applicable everything is to the general human experience - yes the focus is parenting and as a mom of a toddler I LOVED it for that。 But, I'm also a flawed human and a lot of the concepts and techniques discussed in this book are just good practice for me too。 Honestly this is a great parenting book - but it's also just a great book for humans to read and reflect on。 Tiny humans have the most to learn about being a person, but we're all learning new things and new ways to exist as we grow and change。。。。and this book has a lot of things that can help with that。 I can't recommend this highly enough - go check it out! 。。。more

This is a lovely book for anyone starting a family。 Give your children loads of patience, attention, be there for them whenever they need you and they should grow into happy independent individuals。 In short, the more time, attention and care you give them when they are small the less time you will have to spend sorting out problems when they are older。 We are all doing the best we can so hang in there。Thank you St。 Martin Press for this ARC。 I enjoyed reading it。

Gwenna Laithland is an internet personality that gained attention by giving parenting advice。 This book is a big pile of it。 I do not follow her, and have never heard of her until requesting this book。 I loved this book。 I plan on going to get myself a copy so I can revisit a bunch of this, and maybe force my husband to read it too。 It's silly and irreverent, but had some decent advice sprinkled through。 I literally used one of the tips this evening and it immediately helped the tiny human。 Hone Gwenna Laithland is an internet personality that gained attention by giving parenting advice。 This book is a big pile of it。 I do not follow her, and have never heard of her until requesting this book。 I loved this book。 I plan on going to get myself a copy so I can revisit a bunch of this, and maybe force my husband to read it too。 It's silly and irreverent, but had some decent advice sprinkled through。 I literally used one of the tips this evening and it immediately helped the tiny human。 Honestly, I don't do well with reading parenting books。 This one worked for me。 I learned some stuff。 Got called out for some stuff。 Laughed about a lot of stuff。 And felt like maybe I might be able to turn this crazy parenting train around for myself and my kids with a little practice。 Good luck me and the kiddos。 I received an Advanced Reader Copy via NetGalley in return for sharing my thoughts on this book。 Thanks to the author and publisher for this opportunity! 。。。more

I got an ARC of this book。 I don't have young kids。 I married someone with two teen boys。 My kids are technically both adults now, but have never really had a good father。 I want to be as much as a good father as they will let me be。 So I follow some gentle/responsive parenting people。 I was excited for a book, books make sense to me。 This book didn't really offer anything though。 Then the language was also eh, like the author literally warns that she will use words that get around the tiktok ce I got an ARC of this book。 I don't have young kids。 I married someone with two teen boys。 My kids are technically both adults now, but have never really had a good father。 I want to be as much as a good father as they will let me be。 So I follow some gentle/responsive parenting people。 I was excited for a book, books make sense to me。 This book didn't really offer anything though。 Then the language was also eh, like the author literally warns that she will use words that get around the tiktok censor filters。 Why? It is a book。 You do not have that filter。 You can say die, died, murdered, ect。 Most of this book was geared towards younger kids and it was incredibly repetitive。 Half the length would have given the same information and felt more complete。 I really did appreciate that she made certain points to protect her children。 She doesn't use names。 She doesn't give identifying information。 She allows them autonomy。 Instead she focuses on her reactions and her feelings。 This is huge。 While I don't recommend the book, I do recommend following her on social media。 She has great short videos that give you all of this book。 。。。more

Not gonna lie。 I was hoping for a hysterically funny book, sort of like Erma Bombeck crossed with Jenny Larson。 You know, about all the stupid crap we do as parents。 Instead, it was a parenting book。 My youngest is almost 17; I just couldn’t get into this book。 The advice she gives is good, but I would not use that title, because it led me to believe it was something else entirely。Probably an excellent read if you still have little ones at home or you haven’t been a parent yet。
